Lucy is definitely winning in the "who gets the most sleep" department. After a week of good progress of waking up fewer times in the night, last night was a definite decline. Usually we can get her to go back to sleep after she wakes up in the middle of the night, but this morning she was rip-roaring ready to go at 5am! There was no more sleeping, just barking, whining, crying, chewing up the mop, chewing up whatever she possibly could. Finally we gave in (around 7am) and let her out of the kitchen (the only place that doesn't have hard wood floors to pee on), played with her for an hour and then went back to bed...until 12pm. When we got up she was sweetly sleeping on the guest room bed. Nothing had been eaten or torn up. Not only have I realized why so many things get chewed up by dogs (it's not just cause they're teething, it's cause the owner gets so tired of keeping up with them!), but I think she does it just to get back at us. When she has her freedom she's so good. But when we lock her up, there's hell to pay.

Ok, so she's been sleeping till about 6 pretty much every night now right?
If we could just push it to 7 we'd be golden! Let's stay up late with her and keep her active for the next few nights--until at least 11. I think it will work--but I've been lazy so I'm happy when she falls asleep.
Love Ya!
