I know we are now a whole month into the new year (crazy!), but I have so far been successful in one of my resolutions. Bottled water. It's so convenient! The tap water at our house is gross (plus my dad works for the CA Water Service and always told me about the nasty things in tap water). I always recycle my bottles, so I haven't felt like it's that big of a deal. Whenever Craig acted annoyed with my bottled water habit, I just reminded him how much cheaper it is then beer which put an end to that! But...I have felt convicted about the
BPA issue, how much money I really am spending on water, and how much recycling I am creating.
So I spent $26 on a Britta, $29 on more filters, and $10 on two aluminum bottles. So after my "start up" costs, I should be spending about $2.oo a month on filters, saving approximately $8-$10 a month on bottled water. Woohoo!
