Back in April, Craig and I had the chance to finally celebrate our 5 year anniversary (a few months late). Since I was in between jobs and about to start grad school we had one week to get our vacationing in...so we did! We booked our trip 6 days ahead of time, got our dog sitter situation arraigned, finished my last day at my job and left at 4am the morning after! It was a whirlwind week getting ready for vacation, but I'm so glad we did it.
I LOVE Mexico, but I'm always cautious about what to expect as far as hotels go so I keep my expectations low. Our hotel was awesome (except for the fact that we slept in separate beds the whole week. They only had full size beds! We have been married too long to be sleeping in a full size bed!).
Peacocks (Pavo Reals) were all over the hotel. This was the only male and we saw him put on a show for the ladies quite a few times.

Craig and I both entertained the crowd on more than one occasion. Craig was crowed the "Prince" of the resort (he lost to a guy that later bought us dinner in Chicago on our way home! Score!) and I won a bottle of crappy tequila by hoping across the stage with an egg between my legs and collecting bras from the audience (or something like that).

The days we spent at the hotel consisted of eating, drinking, reading, napping, and laying out.
It was awesome!
