Ft. Myers was great! I could definitely become a snowbird or retire there permanently starting next week! It was so nice to defrost in the warm sun, experience wild life, and spend time with Craig, however the trip didn't start out so nicely. When I went to check us in for our trip (which Craig had booked), I discovered that we were only booked for 3 nights instead of the 4 we had thought/planned on. I was NOT a happy camper. We were paying a good chunk of money for only 3 nights, the first of which didn't even start until 1:30am. I tried to call Orbitz and they wouldn't help me because it wasn't 24 hours before our flight, and NWA wasn't answering any phones. I couldn't even be put on hold! Then I drove to Craig's parents so his mom could take us to the airport... My California car which is so low to the ground and is horrible for driving in the snow got it's bumper ripped off when I tried to drive in the drive way. Now I was really upset. We finally got to the airport, which was a mess being right before Christmas and we were barely speaking to each other. Of course we weren't seated together so I was stuck between two big, snoring men. I was ready for our anniversary to be over! We finally got there and things really improved. I think the warm weather melted away my bad attitude. Being that we only had 2.5 days there I wanted to do and see as much as possible. It was a great trip, and I can't wait for a week long vacation for our 5th anniversary next year...I'm already planning it!
Everglades Wonder Gardens, where we were lunch! My favorite line of the day was, "Sir, please put your son down. It would take an act of God to save him if you dropped him" as a man held his kid up to look into the crocodile pin.
Mr. Starfish washed up and found me
