Of Bunnies and Brothers

One thing that I do love about living in MN are all the animals in my backyard. Deer, foxes, toads, frogs, squirrels, baby robins, bee hives, baby ducks and bunnies can be found daily hopping through our yard. I guess having a creek running through our yard and no fences to keep things away helps.

Today when I was watering, I heard a weird noise in our egress window well. I figured it was a cricket jumping around and ignored it. Later I looked and saw a tiny bunny trapped. He must have hopped down and couldn't hop back out. I figured I better rescue it, so I did just that! I made my baby brother jump down in there, find him and take him out. I love animals (so much that I cried last year when I ran over a squirrel), but unless they've had a recent vet visit, a flea bath, and I know they won't bite me, there's no way I'm touching them! It's okay if they bite Robby though!

Having him around has come in real handy. The other day I moved a brick and uncovered a toad. I screamed, dropped the brick back on the toad...and called Robby to come save him!
